Dennis Landrum
Associational Missions Strategist

Rev. Dennis Landrum is originally from Mumford, Tennessee. Dennis moved to Clarksdale, Mississippi, in 1983. In 1988 he married the former, Rhonda Murrah. Dennis and Rhonda have three children, Jeremy, Rivers and Anna, and a grandchild, Aniston.

Dennis supported Rhonda while she attended and graduated from The University of Mississippi School of Law from 1990 to 1993. In1994 Dennis bought Dixie Glass and changed the name to Clarksdale Glass & Door. Dennis owned and operated Clarksdale Glass & Door successfully for twelve years. Dennis managed the day-to-day business including sales, inventory, profit and loss, and payroll. Dennis and his employees installed residential, commercial and automotive glass, residential mirrors, truck accessories, spray-in bed liners, and overhead doors. Within this business Dennis had a fishing tackle shop. Dennis was an avid fisherman in many circuits including Fisher's of Men. When God called Dennis, he sold this business in obedience to the calling and surrendered his life to the ministry.  Shortly thereafter, Dennis began his studies in Christian education.

While pursuing his Bachelors in Christian Ministry part-time at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary Extension at Madison, Mississippi, Dennis was called to pastor First Baptist Church Belen, Mississippi.  During this time, Rhonda sold her private practice and they prepared to sell their home. After serving at Belen for eighteen months, Dennis and Rhonda stepped out in faith and moved their two teenage children and eighteen month old baby to Barton, Mississippi, in further obedience to God's call. Dennis began full-time studies at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary and Rhonda joined the law firm of Baskin, McCarroll, McCaskill and Campbell in Southaven where she practiced real estate law until the firm closed. Dennis obtained a Bachelors Degree in Christian Studies from Mid-America and he is currently completing his Masters in Pastoral Ministries at Caskey School of Divinity. Dennis has an ultimate goal of obtaining a D Min in Pastoral Ministries.

On December 31, 2006, Dennis was called to pastor Evansville Baptist Church in Cottonville, Mississippi. Dennis has just completed his seventh year of service at EBC. God has done amazing things at EBC. The Lord has provided a men's ministries to encourage and facilitate men to pursue growth and maturity in the Lord and man to man accountability. “Manna Men” was established to live out John 10:10, the abundant life, before the body of Christ at Evansville and the community by ministering to men, their families, families without fathers and the underprivileged. A church plant was established called Bryant Lane Cowboy Church, which is thriving. While at Evansville, God has expanded the flock considerably and they have enjoyed a large increase in baptisms.

Dennis has enjoyed cooking Monday morning breakfast for the pastors in Tate County in order to build relationships of trust and accountability for the last two years. Dennis has a passion for missions, having been on mission trips to India, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Mexico and many within our Nation, including the Memphis Ministry, where the gospel is taken to those in the intercity who are homeless monthly. Dennis has also been on the Biblical Studies Tour in Israel. Dennis has a heart for church planting/revitalization, pastoral care and church growth.
